Convert Bank Muscat statements to Excel
Three-decimal rial amounts are rounded or misparsed by generic converters built for two decimals, so every balance is off by baisa. Wrapped descriptions and Arabic text add rows without amounts and reversed payee names.
- ✓ Running balance checked on every page

About Bank Muscat statement PDFs
- Bank Muscat statements are downloaded as PDF from Bank Muscat Internet Banking and the mBanking app, and e-statements are emailed as PDFs.
- Statements are available in English or Arabic and show Date, Value Date, Description, Debit, Credit and Balance, so a running balance is present on each line.
- Amounts are in Omani rial with three decimal places (for example 2,450.750), and the header includes the account number and statement period.
- Dates use DD/MM/YYYY, and descriptions include POS, ATM, transfers, WPS salary and charges with merchant or counterparty details.
- Foreign-currency accounts are issued as separate statements, and corporate customers may export to Excel on the business platform.

Frequently asked
Are OMR amounts kept to three decimals?
Yes. All three decimals are preserved in every export format, and the running-balance check confirms totals on every page.
Does it work with Arabic Bank Muscat statements?
Yes. Arabic and English statements both convert, with Arabic text exported correctly as UTF-8.
Which export should I use for QuickBooks?
QBO for a direct import, CSV for manual mapping, and OFX for other accounting tools.
