Convert Banque Misr statements to Excel
Bilingual headers and right-to-left descriptions confuse generic PDF tools, which often output reversed Arabic words or shove the balance into the description column. Scanned branch statements add digit misreads that go unnoticed without a balance check.

About Banque Misr statement PDFs
- Banque Misr statements are available as PDF through BM Online and the BM mobile app, and customers can also receive periodic e-statements by email.
- Statements are generally bilingual, with Arabic and English headers for Date, Value Date, Description, Debit, Credit and Balance, so a running balance is usually printed per line.
- Dates follow DD/MM/YYYY, and descriptions combine Arabic text with English transaction types such as POS, ATM, transfer and salary.
- Amounts are in EGP with two decimals; foreign-currency accounts are issued as separate statements in their own currency.
- Paper statements printed at branches remain common and are often shared as scans or photos.

Frequently asked
Does it work with scanned Banque Misr statements?
Yes. OCR handles scans and photos, and the running balance is checked on every page so misreads are caught instead of exported.
Will the Arabic payee names survive the conversion?
Yes. Arabic text is exported in correct reading order as UTF-8, and the English transaction types are kept alongside it.
Can I get Debit and Credit as separate columns?
Yes. Excel and CSV exports use separate Debit and Credit columns, and the QuickBooks CSV export uses a single signed Amount column.
