Convert Lloyds Bank statements to Excel
Lloyds details fields are long and often contain the payee, a reference and a card number fragment on one wrapped line, which generic tools truncate or split. The separate Payment type column is frequently merged into Details, losing the DEB/DD/FPO classification bookkeepers rely on.

About Lloyds Bank statement PDFs
- Lloyds statements are available as PDF in Internet Banking and the app under Statements, with up to several years of history.
- The transaction table has Date, Payment type, Details, Money out (£), Money in (£) and Balance (£) columns, so a running balance is present on each line.
- Payment type codes include DEB (debit card), DD (direct debit), FPI and FPO (faster payment in/out), BGC (bank giro credit), TFR (transfer), SO (standing order) and CHG (charge).
- Dates are in UK format (DD Mon YY), and statements open with a balance brought forward line.
- Internet Banking also exports recent transactions to CSV, QIF or OFX; the PDF is the record for closed periods.

Frequently asked
Is the Lloyds payment type kept as a separate column?
Yes. Payment type, details, money out, money in and balance each map to their own column, exactly as printed.
Will the running balance be checked?
Yes. Every page is checked from the balance brought forward through to the last line, and any mismatch is shown before you export.
Can I convert Halifax or Bank of Scotland statements here too?
Yes. They share the Lloyds Banking Group layout family, and Kashf detects the layout from the document itself.
