About Monzo statement PDFs
- Monzo statements are generated in the app (Account, then Statements) as PDF for a chosen month or custom range, for personal, joint and business accounts.
- The PDF lists Date, Description, Amount and Balance for each transaction, so a running balance is present, and opens with the period's opening and closing balances.
- Monzo also offers a CSV export from the app with rich columns such as Transaction ID, Date, Time, Type, Name, Category, Amount, Currency, Local amount and Notes, but that CSV has no running balance column.
- Dates are UK day-first, and transactions show the merchant name as Monzo recognises it rather than the raw card-network text.
- Pots are shown as transfers in the statement, and Business accounts can also export directly to accounting integrations from the app.

Why convert the Monzo PDF when Monzo already gives me a CSV?
The Monzo CSV has no running balance, so it cannot be verified against the statement. Converting the PDF gives you a balance-checked file in Excel, CSV, QBO or OFX.
Will Pot transfers appear as transactions?
Yes, exactly as they appear in the statement, so your balance reconciles. You can filter them out in Excel if you only want external spending.
Does it handle Monzo Business statements?
