About Scotiabank statement PDFs
- Scotiabank statements are downloaded as PDF from Scotia OnLine or the app under Statements, with several years of history available.
- Chequing statements use Date, Transactions, Amounts withdrawn ($), Amounts deposited ($) and Balance ($) columns, with a running balance on each line.
- Dates appear as month and day (for example Jan 15) without the year, and the statement opens with an Opening Balance line and closes with a Closing Balance line.
- Descriptions use short labels such as Point of Sale Purchase, Interac e-Transfer, Pre-authorized payment and Service charge, often followed by a reference line.

Yes. Reference and continuation lines are joined to their transaction, so one statement line equals one row in Excel or CSV.
Will the running balance be checked on every page?
Yes. The balance is verified from the Opening Balance to the Closing Balance page by page, and any gap is highlighted before download.
Do scanned Scotiabank statements work?
Yes. Scans and photos are read with OCR and verified with the same balance check, so misread digits are caught rather than exported.
